Excerpts from the booklet

If a doubling of events may be claimed fort the double concerto, then a tripling in evidence in the Triple Concerto for three Harpsichords in C major BWV 1064. Solo episodes in groups of three occur a number of times in this concerto’s outer movements. The opportunity to employ three harpsichordists in a single composition is doubtless what Bach motivated to revise the early concerto. (Prof. Dr. Werner Breig)
